There's a difference between knowing your mission, and doing your mission.
Over the last few months, we've focussed our sessions on Finding Our Why. But you know, no matter how good a mission statement we can come up with, or how powerful a purpose we can attach ourselves to, when the rubber hits the road we need to be able to apply our why even more than we know it.
Of course, it's easier said and done – not only because of the focus required, but also the courage required to keep ourselves doing our best work, rather than getting side tracked into mediocre contributions.
So that's what July's session at Ampersand is all about: real world application.
To look at this, we'll be doing some exercises around our strengths and values, and a prioritisation exercise you've most likely not done before which will reveal plenty about what is your best work. Additionally, there'll be opportunity to explore a range of personality tests before hand which will shed even more light on what is your best approach to applying your why.
A peer mentoring session like no other
We must give you a heads up: this will be a lively interactive session, where every attendee is a participant, engaging with each other and inputting into one another's contexts in life.
It will be facilitated by Scott Gould, the founder of the club, and a self-confessed pilgrim in life: one who has been on his own journey of discovery for many years. People in Devon may remember him for running the Like Minds Conferences from 2009 - 2011.
Monday 10th July, 2 - 6pm, at Bovey Castle.
